Winter weather was slow to arrive here in southern Maine, but is certainly making up for lost time! With a blizzard dropping 26" of snow last Tuesday, we added another 6" on Friday and are now bracing for another 10-15" today! What's keeping me sane through all of this is knowing that each day brings me closer to this....
While I much prefer surfside/poolside reading to fireside reading, I did read some fantastic books in the past week. Here's a look at what I enjoyed.
So, I'll be snuggled on the couch today, watching the Youth Media Awards and reading, thankful that I'm not the now who has to be outside doing this...
What can I say...we don't mess around with snow removal at my house. ;-)
So there you have it...another week of reading is in the books!
Have a fantastic week among the pages!
I have read many of these but Echo is new - will have to see if the library has it.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the snow - I prefer beaching reading to fire reading as well. :)
Echo officially comes out February 25th and I hope you will pick it up! It still lingers with me!
DeleteThanks for the sympathies...we're now up to 5 FEET of snow...and counting! It's certainly been a old fashion Maine winter!
Wow! that is one heck of a lot of snow! Here in Vancouver, a couple of inches is a big deal. Isn't Revolution spectacular? I've picked up The Meaning of Maggie from the public library so I have to get to it soon. Good luck with your weather!
ReplyDeleteCheriee Revolution was absolutely amazing! If you haven't listen to the audio version, I highly recommend it! Outstanding!
DeleteHey, that's cool! I'll have to figure out how to embed IG photos into a post. I like how that looks!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to check out Echo and Revolution is on my Must Read list this year.
Maria, adding the Instagram photos is easy. Just copy the embed code right into your post. I hope you find time for both Echo and Revolution...while thick in page numbers, both are outstanding novels!
DeleteI miss fireside reading. My family spent the Christmas holidays in the US four years back, but since we stayed in California, it's still essentially warmer compared to what you must be going through right now. Echo is in my to-be-read in 2015 radar. :)
ReplyDeleteMyra, I'm certainly getting my fair share of fire side reading this winter! We're now up to 5 FEET of snow and counting. I ready for some warmth!
